Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS4 Operational Support Officer on a contract for 6 months.

About the Role:

The Operational Support Officer position is part of a multidisciplinary team that supports increased identity integrity across the portfolio.

The Operational Support Officer will work as part of the ImmiCard team to provide first level identity and biometric operational services to internal business areas and external stakeholders, including:

  • Provide help desk support and action identity and biometric processing, resolution, triage and management tasks.
  • Interrogate a variety of corporate systems to analyse client identity and biometric information and perform operational monitoring and reporting activities.
  • Undertake credential verification or facial comparison processing, payment processing or identity card ordering services, and
  • Support program managers and carry out administrative duties as directed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Management of ImmiCards through a network of systems, operational processes and stakeholders.
  • Monitor a variety of mailboxes or helpdesks and assist with triaging or actioning associated tasks.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to advise of processes and policies in relation to their ImmiCard requests.
  • Assess client personal information and identify information or make decisions about ImmiCard eligibility.
  • Contribute to processes and procedures to ensure the ImmiCard program is responsive to stakeholder needs and assist clients in accessing high level services in Australia.
  • Support the APS5/6 and carry out administrative duties as directed.

Skills & Capabilities:

  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a high volume and high tempo environment.
  • Well-developed client engagement and relationship building skills.
  • High level written communication skills are required.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will be required to have a Baseline security clearance.
