Our client, an Australian security management firm are looking for a detail-oriented Sales Support Manager to join their growing organisation to contribute to the achievement of sales targets by supporting Sales Representatives, coordinating sales activities, and promoting customer satisfaction. Responsibilities will include supporting sales, ensuring order satisfaction, coordinating with other departments, motivating staff, handling administrative duties, and ensuring compliance.

Reporting into both the Finance Director and the General Manager, the Sales Support Manager will have a close working relationship with the national sales team currently consisting of 15 people, and will have strong business acumen and a sound understanding of business strategies, with proven experience in motivating and coaching a team to foster a high-performance culture maximising sales and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Duties

  • Provide end-to-end support to the sales team.
  • Set and manage sales appointments and customer account meetings on behalf of the sales team. Minute and manage follow-up action items through to completion.
  • Ownership of the CRM, ensuring all contacts, accounts, deals, and tasks within the CRM are accurately maintained.
  • Prepare sales materials such as Proposals and Quotes in response to prospect and customer opportunities.
  • Coordinate bid submissions with relevant personnel externally.
  • Proofread formal tender response documents.
  • Coordinate pipeline task management in conjunction with the sales team.
  • Manipulate data for forecasting reports and automate where possible - approx. 3 reports per month.
  • Chair weekly sales meetings.
  • Ensure compliance across the sales process and be the go-to person for internal and external Audits.
  • Liaise with the board and the management team to prioritise sales tactics.
  • Monitor company sales performance to identify shortfalls and recommend actions.
  • Organise team lunches and events.

Requirements

  • 8+ years experience in a sales environment with a solid understanding of the sales process ideally in the security industry, however, facilities management, construction or engineering industry experience will also be considered.
  • Strong business acumen with a proven track record of developing a strategic vision, implementing processes, and driving a team to success.
  • A passion for leadership, and the ability to motivate and support staff - people management experience will be highly regarded.
  • Personable, patient, and energetic with a positive can-do attitude and experience managing senior stakeholders.
  • High emotional intelligence.
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal.
  • Solid administration skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite.
