Chandler Macleod has partnered with a global leader to recruit several MMU Operators for a large project in Queensland.

About the role:

An MMU (Mobile Manufacturing Unit) is a heavy rigid vehicle which is used to mix and deliver blast product into pre-drilled blast holes on the surface of Quarry and Mine sites.

These will be permanent positions, offered on a 7/7 or 8/6 roster. Camp facilities will be provided for the duration of your roster.

What you will be doing:

The successful candidate will be charged with the duties of operating an MMU vehicle and all associated plant and equipment on a daily basis to provide blasting products and services to customers in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.

What you bring:

  • Current HR driving license (or ability to obtain within the next four weeks)
  • Able to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol
  • Able to pass a National Police Check
  • Current S11 Mine Induction (or ability to obtain within the next four weeks)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in operating an MMU or similar blast delivery truck (preferable, not required)
  • Mechanical trade qualification (preferable, not required)
