Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced Mission Support Officer to join our Federal Government client based in Richmond for a full time 12 month contract.

The duties of this role will include but not be limited to:

  • Coordinating administrative arrangements for missions away from home base
  • Determine ground handling requirements specific to the aircraft type and relevant to the nature of the task, and work with agencies to provision these requirements.
  • Source, book and confirm ground handling support for Missions through Agencies.
  • Monitor the performance of various ground handling agencies that provide support to ensure task requirements are fully met.
  • Source, book, and confirm flight crew accommodation in accordance with directives, Instructions and Pay and Conditions Manual.
  • Source, book and confirm flight crew road transport.
  • Monitor accommodation and transport expenditure and take measures to reduce excessive costs.
  • Generate and publish a confirmation sheet detailing and confirming all support requested for each task.
  • Maintain constant monitoring and coordination of tasks in progress and amend and update flight crew of changes as they happen.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with all sections
  • Ensure all potential problems that may impact tasking are appropriately dealt with or escalated.

    To be suitable for this role you will have:
  • At minimum an Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance
  • Proven experience in analysis, interpretation of information from various stakeholders, publications and computer systems to determine task requirements
  • Ability to work under pressure, completing multiple tasks whilst maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proven administrative skills, including the ability to effectively manage workloads, prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate overall compliance to Requirements
  • Full transparency of costing.
  • A knowledge of Air Mobility Group aircraft types and operational requirements.
