Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS5/6 Method Development Officer on a contract for 6 months with potential extension of 6 month.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage procurements of technical expertise from academic, research and industry bodies or individuals,
  • Undertake analysis on technical policy options,
  • Prepare well researched written material including correspondence, briefs, standard operating procedures, reports on outcomes of public consultation, and other technical information,
  • Work with the Legal Services and Governance Branch to draft legislative instruments for methods,
  • Identify IT requirements, such as tools and calculators for new methods and coordinate their development with the Digital Services Branch,
  • Review and analyse public consultation submissions,

Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated collaboration and consultation skills
  • Working in a technical environment on issues within specialist areas that require considerable analysis, sometimes under tight timeframes
  • Analysing complex issues, displaying initiative and attention to detail
  • Effectively managing important and complex stakeholder relationships
  • Paying attention to detail, being organized and adaptable to change; including the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
  • Building and maintaining constructive relationships with co-workers within a close team where tasks frequently require close cooperation and collaboration

Mandatory Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will be required to have a Baseline security clearance.
