Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS3/4 Method Development Officer on a contract for 6 months with potential extension of 6 months

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the coordination and procurement of technical expertise from academic, research and industry bodies or individuals,
  • Review others analysis on technical policy options,
  • Assist in the preparation of well researched written material including correspondence, briefs, standard operating procedures, reports on outcomes of public consultation, and other technical information,
  • Organise meetings and forums to seek and share information with internal and external stakeholders,
  • Collate public consultation submissions,
  • Undertake other duties as directed including routine administration and responding to enquiries.

Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated collaboration and consultation skills
  • Working in a technical environment on issues within specialist areas that require considerable analysis, sometimes under tight timeframes
  • Investigating and analysing complex issues, displaying initiative and attention to detail
  • Paying attention to detail, being organized and adaptable to change; including the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
  • Building and maintaining constructive relationships with co-workers within a close team where tasks frequently require close cooperation and collaboration
  • Communicating complex ideas concisely to a variety of different audiences

Mandatory Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will be required to have a Baseline security clearance.
