Our client is a high profile non-profit industry association which represents the tourism industry to government and consumers.

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Membership Advisor act as the first point of contact for member queries and services.

The position would suit an up-and-coming tourism professional or recent graduate looking to begin their career in the tourism industry. Training will be provided for the right applicant.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for member queries and services.
  • Liaise with members through telephone calls, electronic communications, and business visits.
  • Administer member services, accreditation and other tourism business programs.
  • Maintain accurate records in the membership CRM database and online accreditation program.
  • Attend and assist with membership events and training workshops.
  • Process electronic payments and registrations for membership, events and other services.
  • Other duties and administrative tasks as required.

Essential Criteria

  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to customer service principles and focus on member needs.
  • Experience with data entry and maintaining database records.
  • Demonstrated administrative skills and proven attention to detail.
  • Ability to organise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collegially in a small team-based environment.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Possession of a current A class drivers' licence.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience with quality assurance or accreditation systems.
  • Experience within the tourism or hospitality industry.
  • Experience in a membership organisation or not-for-profit sector.
  • Ability to travel independently within WA as required.
