The Opportunity

Chandler Macleod is looking to engage an experienced Senior Business Partner (Executive and Ministerial Services) for a contract term due to end on the 30th July 2021 within a well-established NSW Government department.

This role will be based in St Leonards but will have the option to work from home on occasion.

The primary purpose of the role is to develop strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure high quality and timely responses are provided to each Minister's Office and Health Executive.

Key functions include: building capability to ensure the Portfolio has good understanding of each Minister's Office needs and expectations; reviewing and coordinating responses to time sensitive, confidential and complex issues in a busy, high volume environment.

Job Specification

In this position, you will be required to perform but are not limited to the following tasks:

  • Identify key issues and develop training or other support to build capacity in branches and other Health organisations; and monitor and maintain quality assurance measures and protocols to ensure high standards of content and processes are achieved in high stakes environment characterised by demanding deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Review, analyse, coordinate and prepare or ensure high quality documents for Ministers and the Secretary on a range of matters that may be sensitive and of interest to the community.
  • Build and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with relevant staff in the Ministry, local health districts and other Health organisations and each Minister's Office to achieve the Ministry's objectives when preparing draft responses and briefings.
  • Work with the key branch and other Health organisation executives and staff, identify and develop potential improvements to processes, templates and information that can be applied consistently across the whole of NSW Health
  • Provide a strong customer service focus with key stakeholders and develop and provide training and other assistance to branches and other Health organisation staff to enable high quality responses and compliance with required processes and templates and records' management protocols.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the operations of the Ministry of Health and other Health organisations including current issues, forthcoming events, relevant parliamentary business and Commonwealth initiatives.
