Chandler Macleod is proud to be partnering with the state's largest energy provider in search of a suitably experienced Engineer with Power Generation experience or a Graduate looking to start their career and join a fantastic company on the forefront of energy innovation of energy usage and storage.

We have an exciting opportunity to join the at their power station near Collie, as a Mechanical Engineer - Balance of Plant on a 12-month contract.

About the Role

  • Develop, implement and maintain the asset life cycle plans.
  • Provide day-to-day engineering and maintenance support for the power station
  • Ensure that all station mechanical and engineering matters are addressed in a consistent, timely, safe, reliable, efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure compliance with Regulatory Compliance Policy
  • Ensure customer needs and requirements are aligned with Key Performance indicators
  • Ensure water treatment plants meet water quality standards required for ultra-pure boiler process operations
  • Liaise with station laboratory and site chemists delivering engineering and technical direction and support to ensure reliable and safe operation of chemical and water treatment plants
  • Design, manage and maintain power station system operations through complex asset life cycle plans and strategic maintenance
  • Identify and initiate short and long-term development (projects) to improve reliability, availability, performance and safety of water treatment plants
  • Define and support the planning systems for maintenance employees and contractors
  • Ensure a safe working environment

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline
  • Experience with power station mechanical engineering maintenance models, policies and procedures
  • Financial and budgeting skills;
  • Safe working practices and procedures;
  • People, customer and stakeholder management skills
  • Generation mechanical primary and secondary plant and their application
