A great opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who understands machinery and is looking for a hands on role in a fast paced production environment.

Collaborating with several universities across Australia on highly technical research projects supported by government grants, they have an active involvement in shaping the future of the building industry through their involvement in changes to the regulations.


The Opportunity:

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will oversee a small trades team whom are all qualified and experienced in the workshop and manage multiple projects. In this role you are an integral part of the team, and will be directly involved in the improvement of designs of new equipment and replacement components of parts so an understanding of machinery and how things work is required.



About You:

  • Tertiary Education preferably in Mechanical or Manufacturing
  • Understanding of mechanical design principles to determine suitable methods and processes to complete design tasks
  • A high level of efficiency using Autodesk products e.g. AutoCAD, Inventor
  • A general understanding of electric, pneumatic and machinery
  • Enthusiastic, driven, focused & reliable
  • The ability to work and collaborate within a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interpret build requirements from clients
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills
