Are you an experienced Materials Engineer (Metallurgical) seeking a new opportunity to #unleashyourpotential in the WA Mining Industry?

One of our clients, a well-known entity in the Western Australian Mining Industry, is seeking the services of an experienced Metallurgical Materials Engineer to join the Chandler Macleod Team on their Site.

The main purpose in this role is:

  • Qualification of the Mobile and Fixed Flashbutt Welders (time and cost saving)
  • Create, drive and facilitate long term vision towards a Precision Railway

    Your two year goal in this role:
  • Higher quality welding processes on rail network
  • Improved understanding in rail of drivers of defects and failures
  • Embed Change/Deviation practices to ensure conformance of maintenance & renewals work to required standards
  • Significantly enhance company knowledge & experience base

    You will be rewarded with:

    Successful candidates will have the following skills and experience:
  • Welding qualification in rail industry especially in Heavy Haul applications
  • Technical understanding of risks, practices, standards associated Metallurgical processes
  • Ability to influence and engage with wider business stakeholders

    Candidates must also be able to:
  • Provide a copy of their Qualification in Metallurgical Rail testing or equivalent
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug Screen
  • Provide a current Australian C Class Drivers Licence
