Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Master Scheduler on a contract for 6 months with potential extension.
Position Overview
The applicants are expected to have previous experience working within a Shared Service Environments, with a collaborative approach to working in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
Activities will include:
- Develop and build a master GovERP / SDO master schedule which incorporates all relevant GovERP and SDO work packages, interdependency mappings, scheduling guidelines, input into project and program governance reports and artefacts, other program deliverables as required.
- Under direction from the SDO GovERP Program Management team, fulfil complex planning, scheduling and work status tracking across an integrated workforce.
- Undertake analysis with GovERP and SDO project managers & team members to determine resource and time estimates to develop various schedules.
- Contribute to the SDO GovERP Program Management team's development of recommendations in relation to task acceptance and prioritisation.
- Develop and maintain a SDO GovERP Program of Work status dashboard to provide SDO executives and SDO leads accurate data as to task, resource, and schedule status.
- Provide scheduling briefings to SDO executives and staff to impart key information requirements for the maintenance of a program/master schedule.
- Provide assurance and governance oversight over program interdependencies to ensure its accurate and appropriate identification and management.
- Enabling the discussion of threats to dependencies and their flow-on impacts to deliverables and benefits.
- Conduct assessments of impacts to schedule required for exception reporting and change proposals.
- Specified Personnel will be expected to ensure appropriate documentation is stored in accordance with the Department's recordkeeping policy and practices.
- Other duties as directed by the SDO GovERP Program team.
The applicants should have:
- Scheduling qualifications or formal training with at least 5 years' experience in scheduling and work breakdown structures for large and diverse projects and programs.
- Experience in scheduling using Microsoft Project Professional.
- Ability to effectively and flexibly operate in a complex, demanding and high risk environment with a high degree of responsibility.
- Ability to initiate opportunities for continuous improvement by identifying inconsistencies and risks in processes and systems.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision with proven negotiation and strong analytical, problem solving skills and business acumen.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships.
- Well-developed understanding of contemporary PM methodologies coupled with proven understanding of project controls, scheduling and risk management.
- Advanced skillsets in executive level project reporting and a thorough understanding of project financial management.
