Our client is seeking to engage a Marketing Manager - Public Sector / Field Marketing on a contract for 12 months with potential extension.

Position Overview

Our client is looking for a motivated, ambitious, detail-driven marketer with a "can do" attitude and a growth mindset to join our marketing team in Australia.

In this role, you will plan, execute and manage field marketing activities for the growing Public Sector market across Australia & New Zealand. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating, delivering, and executing killer campaign programs to drive outstanding pipeline and revenue results. And, of course, someone who isn't afraid to roll up her or his sleeves and jump right in! We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping to shape the Public Sector narrative as well as helping Government Agencies to unify the experience and deliver on the mission with high impact, across the different regions.

This person will be responsible for brand building, awareness and demand generation for this key market segment, taking strategic direction from the Public Sector Sales Leadership team. The candidate will be experienced in B2B marketing and a wide range of go-to-market tactics. They will hold previous experience working in roles across Public Sector Agencies, or in marketing technology with an industry focus as an advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Public Sector sales leadership team to develop a deep understanding of their business. Build a strategic marketing plan to support exceeding marketing and sales targets.
  • Build and complete your own integrated marketing campaigns, including face-to-face, 3rd party events, EDMs, customer marketing, and webinars to generate sales opportunities and meet the specific needs of Public Sector.
  • Work with the industry's most respected sales team and leaders to support the execution of collaborative programs that help find new buyers and cross-sell into existing accounts.
  • Publish and monitor frequent campaign scorecards to share results, learnings and best practices with key stakeholders; adjust the plans and priorities to stay focussed on pipe generation targets.
  • Have the capability to orchestrate, negotiate, prioritise and manage project deliverables with other members of the marketing and communications organisation as needed (including digital, PR, partner marketing, events and customer marketing).
  • Evaluate the performance and return on investment of marketing campaigns against goals.
  • Work on multiple, simultaneous marketing programs that require both strategic thinking as well as high-speed tactical execution.
  • Manage program activities including execution, analysis, and optimisation.
  • Support the regional localisation strategy and content development

Skills and Experience:

  • Be a highly professional team player with a positive, can-do attitude; must be very comfortable with continuously changing opportunities and priorities.
  • Bachelor level degree preferably with a Marketing, Communications or Business emphasis.
  • 7+ years of high-tech or marketing experience, preferably in a field facing role
  • Strong understanding of demand generation and a track record of owning campaigns and driving success.
  • Experience managing projects to a fixed budget and proven ROI.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives with a track record for meeting deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and a proven collaboration mindset to collaborate with a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyse multiple sets of data and provided timely insights to marketing and sales leadership to proactively ensure marketing campaign success.
  • Previous work experience within or a strong understanding of Public Sector in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Experience with a broad range of integrated marketing tools such as Marketo, Responsys, Demandbase, Drupal, Swoogo, On24, Wrike,Tableau etc. preferred.
  • Works well in a high growth environment that is constantly changing and ability to adapt marketing campaigns to meet quickly changing requirements.
  • Interested and willing to travel for marketing and internal events as needed.
  • Use of Salesforce with strong Salesforce reporting skills or use of similar CRM to measure and report on marketing campaign results.
