Our client is seeking to engage a Marketing Manager - Partner Events on a contract for 12 months.

Position Overview

The Manager, Partner Engagement Events will be responsible for setting and maintaining the Partner Events strategy for the APAC region, working closely with the HQ Partner Events and Communications team, to deliver professional, seamless, innovative and informative events for our Partner Ecosystem. Not only will you build the strategy, but you will lead the planning, development and execution of partner events in support of growth objectives and strategic initiatives.

This position requires exceptional communication and collaboration skills as you will work closely with the APAC Partner Marketing team, as well as other internal teams and outside vendors. You must possess excellent project management skills, outstanding attention to detail, have experience managing high-visibility events and programs, and a desire to master and contribute to our best practices and operational processes that drive the delivery of world-class partner engagements. The position is responsible for all aspects of Partner Engagement Events including meeting facilitation, registration, coordination with outside vendors and analysis and reporting on program initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop the APAC Partner Events Strategy and Plan in alignment with Regional and Global Objectives
  • Execute on Global Partner Events in the region, in conjunction with HQ counterparts, ensuring that all objectives are met
  • Lead the full scope of project management, production, and execution for a wide scope of partner facing events, keynotes and programs both virtual and in-person, from small high touch c-level events and Partner Executive Roundtables to larger events with over 1,000 attendees.
  • Coordinate event logistics including registration, venue contracts, back-end virtual platform set up (On24, 6Connex, Google Hangouts, Zoom, etc.), entertainment, meeting space planning, keynote show-flows and content framework, timelines, speaker and executive communications, onsite event execution, managing budgets, debriefs, surveys, and more.
  • Influence and work across organisational boundaries, including a broad range of peers and stakeholders. Provide status updates for a variety of audiences-including executive stakeholders, management and peers.
  • Create pre/post event/program communications for our attendees and stakeholders
  • Be the regional voice for Partners within the Global Partner Events Strategy
  • Review & Select Agencies from Panel to ensure the best Partner Experience
  • Execute on regional Partner Events through cross-collaboration with multiple stakeholders and teams
  • Understand brand and product positioning with the ability to help ensure consistent, on-brand messaging
  • Compile and work with multiple, complex timetables successfully in a collaborative extremely fast paced environment
  • Work with cross-functional internal teams; creative services, interactive, marketing ops, which support direct efforts and collaborate closely to develop and successfully execute programs
  • Research and report creative event options, off-site venues, and entertainment based on program format and budget
  • Provide onsite event support, registration management and other duties assigned by director of group as necessary
  • Contribute towards creative problem solving
  • Manage budgets, vendor invoices, contracts and SOWs
  • Collaborate to create and drive best practices, operational processes and playbook for partner events, continuously iterate and create repeatable programs to scale.
  • Research and implement new tools and technologies.
  • Deliver consistent pre-planning presentations, post event surveys, and report back summary of results to key stakeholders utilizing feedback to continually improve the partner experience

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Successful events experience assisted with the execution of corporate events (conferences, executive programs and trade shows), preferably in a B2B, high-tech, fast-paced environment.
  • 3 or more years' experience leading an events team or working with and directing events coordinators to bring a project to life.
  • Experience managing the juggling act that comes with managing multiple clients/partners with many internal/external stakeholders.
  • Relevant B2B technology marketing experience, primarily in telecommunication, technology, or software industries.
  • Ability to speak another Asian language (Mandarin, Thai, Bhasa, Vietnamese etc) will be highly regarded
