Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Marketing and Events Officer on a contract for 1 months.


  • Provide critical administrative support for library marketing and communications including:
    • Social media,
    • Website,
    • Graphic design, and
    • Distribution of promotional information.
  • Provide critical support for library program and event management including:
    • Administrative activities such as preparation, scheduling, and monitoring of online program/event information and bookings,
    • On site event coordination,
    • Liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Actively contribute to community engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote a positive image of Libraries ACT and support TCCS and ACT Government strategic directions.
  • Provide excellent, pro-active customer service internally and externally.
  • Other duties as directed.

  • Highly developed administrative and organisational skills, attention to detail, flexibility and responsiveness.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills and team work.
  • Demonstrated experience with social media, website content management, and graphic design.
  • Demonstrated understanding of event planning and implementation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of public service values covering ethical standards and a demonstrated self-awareness, professionalism and proven commitment to the integration of workplace respect, equity and diversity practices and workplace health and safety principles and practices.

Professional / Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • High level computer skills including standard Office suite, and the ability to learn Adobe Creative Cloud, and the library's event system.
  • Sound judgement and decision making.
  • Content curation and copywriting.
