Blue Mountains City is uniquely situated within a World Heritage Area. Blue Mountains City Council currently has an exciting opportunity for a high calibre Manager of Project Delivery to lead the management and delivery of external grant funded infrastructure programs and projects. Council is delivering the largest and most significant range of infrastructure projects in its history, so what a perfect time to join, to serve the community and to also play a part in protecting this beautiful environment.
So what will you need in order to be successful in this role?
- Extensive strategic project management experience and skills such as the oversight of multiple design and construction projects with a proven track record of successful delivery
- Demonstrated ability to lead the identification, critical analysis, formulation and delivery of solutions to a range of project management challenges as they arise
- Sound knowledge and understanding of procurement and contract management, including the development of Request for Quote (RFQ) and Request for Tender (RFT) documentation
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including contractors, consultants, stakeholders and community groups
- Proven ability to lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team, work collaboratively and fostering effective strategic and operational working relationships across all levels
- Proven ability to lead, drive and achieve a strong customer service culture
- Tertiary qualifications in project management and/or significant project management experience in the management of design and construction projects
- Current Drivers Licence
- Ideally, you will have qualifications in a project related discipline such as Civil Engineering or Architecture.
