This position is a meaningful role with purpose and would be ideally suited to an experienced Manager that will be responsible for managing and implementing Cancer Council Queensland's (CCQ) bequest acquisition, retention, sustainable pipeline and stewardship program in collaboration with the Philanthropy and Supporter Experience team.

About the Role:

  • Develop and manage CCQ's bequest acquisition strategy and implementation plan with the aim of generating leads to help build a sustainable pipeline and income stream for the future.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with existing supporters and prospects who have indicated they have or would consider leaving a bequest to CCQ..
  • Oversee the continued effectiveness of CCQ Free Will Service,
  • Develop annual program budget and plans and manage and report on these budgets in conjunction with the Senior Manager, Philanthropy and Supporter Experience.
  • Work with Fundraising Support Team, Data Services Team and PSX colleagues to ensure highest quality data maintenance

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in philanthropy, marketing, communications or a similar field is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising especially in the area of bequests and donor relations.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and developing successful relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in driving and achieving targets
  • Proven ability to develop budgets, achieve income targets and work within constraints to achieve financial targets. Set and track achievement of bequest program KPIs.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and motivate people, working collaboratively as part of a high performing team
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience within similar not-for-profit fundraising environment or industry related role is desirable.
  • Current Driver License is required.
