Our Client is seeking to engage a Manager Financial Services on a Fixed-term, 3 years, Full Time Position.

The preferred applicant would need to be located in Port Hedland, but we do provide relocation assistance of up to $15,000 and the position includes housing and a vehicle.

Package:

  • Manager - Base salary from $140,000 + 12% Superannuation
  • Town provided housing (4 x 2) located in Port Hedland
  • Vehicle
  • $3,000 utilities allowance
  • $15,000 relocation assistance
  • Six weeks annual leave plus 17.5% leave loading
  • Additional 2 days of paid leave per year during the Christmas break

Key Responsibilities

The Manager Financial Services is responsible for providing the organisation with a professional finance function. Functions include financial and management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, accounts payable and receivable, tax and audit management. The role manages the Financial Services team to ensure delivery of a customer focused, efficient and effective financial services function for the organisation.

Essential Experience

  • Degree level qualification in Accounting or accounting related discipline
  • CPA/ICAA membership
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards
  • Understanding of GST, FBT and other taxation legislation
  • Understanding of the WA local government legislative framework
  • Local government or large corporate financial management experience
  • Experience in management and leadership of teams
  • Interpersonal skills
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • A demonstrated ability to improve and enhance processes and practices
  • Experience in the preparation and management of annual budgets and periodic financial reviews
  • Excellent customer service and ability to drive customer service focused team culture
