Chandler Macleod are recruiting a Business Partner to take on the role of Employee Relations Manager for a NSW State Government Agency based in Sydney CBD.
This is a fixed term 12 month contract graded a 9/10.
Primary purpose of the role
The Manager Employee Relationships is a key human resource business partner, and delivers specialist strategic and effective industrial relations advice, intervention and resolutions across a number of disparate workplace environments. The Manager Employee Relations works proactively with key stakeholders to manage employment relationships, disputes and outcomes. The Manager Employee Relations also provides legislation, award and industrial instrument interpretation and advice. The role is a key source of workplace relations support to the wider Human Services team, and interacts with a range of other key stakeholders such as trade unions and public sector departments. This role may act as industrial relations representative in commissions and tribunals.

Key accountabilities
- As a key human resources business partner, provide proactive guidance to various stakeholders on the management of employee relationships, including members of in their employment capacity
- Providing early intervention and strategic advice to support the people and organisation
- Manage workplace investigations and assist in the management of industrial disputes; and
- Be a key participant in the development and negotiation of numerous workplace industrial instruments
