Why the team needs you
As the Region continues to experience significant growth, the Economic Development & Investment Division of TRC are currently looking for an Economic Development and Investment Manager to join their engaged, collaborative and performance driven team.

This position is responsible for the development and implementation of policies and projects that drive economic productivity in Tamworth regional Council Local government area. Through your sound management and leadership experience, you will create relationships and networks with key industries and promote investment opportunities that add to the local economy as aligned with the blueprint 100.


What you'll bring to the team.
Demonstrated capability or equivalent experience, typically at a level of 5-7 years, in the following areas:

  • Understanding budget processes including preparation and management of budgets
  • Proven ability to negotiate outcomes with government, business and community
  • Significant exposure and understanding of economic and political influences likely to affect sustainable economic development outcomes
  • Proven record in investment engagement and activation
  • Knowledge of tourism development and activation - brand building
  • Demonstrable and highly developed advocacy and influencing skills
  • Economic modelling
  • Project coordination and management
  • Tertiary qualifications in Economics or Business OR significant relevant experience in a role and environment similar to this position
  • Strategic and or Investment development qualifications would be viewed as favourable

This position has been classified as Level 23 with a salary range of $135,300 - $146,400 includes superannuation) Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
