Our client:
Is a well established logistics company who has seen unprecedented growth over the last decade and has teams Australia wide.
Currently they are seeking a Management Accountant to implement Management Accounting Reporting within a complex environment. The key purpose of this role is to ensure the business and line managers understand the financial results of the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts
- Analysis and reporting of monthly management accounts
- Deep-dive cost analysis to understand underlying trends
- Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyse, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding monthly reports, and impacts thereon
- Assist with preparation of Annual Operation Plan and Budget
- Prepare studies, reports, and analyses in areas such as annual operating plans, forecasts, financial plans, debt requirements, statistical reports, cash flow projections, and business forecasts.
- Oversight cost allocation
- Analyse management information to determine historical, current and future financial performance.
- Identify trends and recommends improvements accordingly.
- Evaluate complex profit plans, operating records, and financial statements.
- Review, design and Improve cost allocation systems and processes
- Develop, interpret and apply corporate cost allocation principles to give enhanced line of sight of indirect costs.
- Make recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement processes and strategies.
- Assist as needed in the development of the Annual Operating Plan and Budget, planning, and other regional/corporate financial requirements.
Skills & Education
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting and minimum of 5 years related experience.
- Strong verbal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, database management, Quickbooks, Greentree.
- Strong organizational, administration, and leadership skills.
- Sound, demonstrable knowledge of costing principles involved with both direct and indirect costs.
- Must be able to work under intense conditions including demanding timelines and levels of precision in work.
- Ability to make independent judgments using sound reasoning skills and knowledge base.
