Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an EL1 Management Accountant on a contract until April 2021.

About the Role:

As Management Accountant, your role will be focused on providing technical advice and support to the Management Accounting unit within Finance and Assurance team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the update of Client's budget estimates in CBMS-R and the preparation of client's annual Portfolio Budget Statements, including liaison with Department of Finance and portfolio department.
  • Prepare internal budget including provision of technical support to group and section managers, compilation of annual budget and updates resulting mid-year reviews.
  • Prepare, co-ordinate and complete the monthly/quarterly executive and management reports, variance analysis and other internal/external reporting.
  • Assist with development of the four-year rolling capital plan and long term financial and strategic plan.
  • Provide advice and support to the Chief Finance Officer in strategic financial management matters, including preparation of final draft of reports, minutes, briefings and policy documents.
  • Other duties as required.


  • Strong external budgeting and CBMS-R reporting experience
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field e.g., commerce, accounting, statistics, business informatics etc.
  • CPA/CA (certification) qualified or nearing completion.

Mandatory Requirements:

The successful candidate will be required to have a Baseline clearance.
