Chandler Macleod is seeking Applications for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor.

The position of Maintenance Supervisor

 Responsible for supervision and rostering of staff for the maintenance section
 Responsible for the counselling of maintenance section staff to meet Baiada requirements and standards
 To stop production if equipment or staff safety is at risk or if the equipment malfunction could cause or likely to cause harm to the environment.
 Responsible for preparation of weekly maintenance section report that summarise outcomes against Key Performance Indicators including detailed explanations of variance to standard and suggested corrective actions
 Responsible for completion of WHS Reports to meet B-Safe requirements and ensure Environmental issues are considered when carrying out duties.

Essential Qualifications / Licences


 Trade qualifications in a related discipline
 Legally permitted to work in Australia without limitations
 A knowledge of quality systems, WHS & EPA Regulations, HACCP procedures and understanding of how maintenance work could impact on the environment.

Critical Skills and Experience Required


 Knowledge of food processing industry
 Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
 Ability to make quick and correct decisions "on the job" and throughout a production day
 Ability to set-up plant and equipment to achieve efficiency targets set for plant and equipment operation
 Ability to use hard copy and computer based maintenance schedules on a weekly, daily and hourly basis and other computer related maintenance data that is required to be entered.
 Excellent planning skills particularly in relation to control of a maintenance workforce through a daily production process which overlaps several shifts
 Well-developed problem solving skills with the ability to arrive at and implement long term preventative actions

Preferred Skills and Experience


 Leadership experience including conflict resolution and problem solving
 Project Management experience
 Extensive experience, preferably in management, in all facets of maintenance of an intensive food processing plant or similar
 Experience in all facets of OHS including contractor management
