We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Maintenance Superintendents to register for a potential 6-month contract (possible permanency) on a resources mine site based in regional WA. The role will report to and support the Maintenance Manager and is available to either residentially based or FIFO candidates (WA).
Prior experience in a similar leadership position with responsibility for the maintenance works in a sizeable Electrical &Mechanical workshop encompassing:
Electrical Workshop:
- Power Generation
- High Voltage
- Low Voltage
- Control and Instrumentation and
- Gas Fitting works
Mechanical Workshop:
- High-speed rotating equipment, and for the more-complex plants such as:
- Acid Plant
- Cryogenic Oxygen Plant
- Waste heat boiler power generation system
Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years' maintenance superintendent experience (resources | construction | heavy engineering | maintenance)
- Trade qualifications in electrical is essential with further knowledge across mechanical | engineering | fabrication | hydraulics | gas-fitting disciplines
- Post-trade qualifications in engineering or construction related disciplines within mineral resources experience ideal
- Previous experience in managing large scale workshop environments with the aforementioned disciplines
- Administration and prioritization including time management is essential
- SAP experience highly regarded
- Excellent people leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive and sustaining relationships
- Exceptional safety leadership qualities to ensure safety at work is met through conformance of quality, regulations and workshop-specific standards
- Ability to interface largely with sub-contractors and technicians as well as engineering and internal stakeholders
- Personnel management and resourcing including Supervisors, internal employees & contractors
- Budget | forecast and execution
