Opportunity Knocks! Chandler Macleod is on a quest to fill this permanent position for a Commercial Maintenance / Handyperson in Clayton. Our client is going through a growth phase and is expanding their team. The right person for this diverse role will have previously worked in a maintenance role, is mechanically minded with a trade background and computer literate.

This diverse role requires you to service of metro Melbourne and the hours of operation are Mon to Fri starting from 7 am to 3:30 pm. Availability for some night shift, on call work and weekend work need to be considered.

This is a permanent full-time salaried role and an exciting opportunity to do what you love to do while working in a great team environment.

Duties include:

  • Maintenance work will mainly be on commercial office buildings
  • Replacing light globes, fixing of door handles and door fixtures, repairing of holes in plaster walls, basic painting and patching work, installing of stair treads, removing of trip hazards, installing bollards and/or speed humps in car park areas.

All work orders and jobs completed will need to be signed off via your mobile device through Sims Pro system once access has been provided.

To be consider for this role, you MUST obtain the following:

  • Own car and driver's license
  • Working with Children's Check and Police check
  • Own basic hand and power tools (hammers, screw drivers, chisels, tape measures, battery powered drill, Electrical saws, extension leads)
  • Construction Induction White Card - highly regarded
  • Elevated Work Platform Certificate - highly regarded
