Chandler Macleod are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager for a major client in Melbourne's Northern Suburbs. Highly recognised, and with a proud reputation for quality & sustainability, this is an organisation that is continuing to go from strength to strength. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Maintenance Manager is charged with the strategic and tactical responsibility for implementing engineering strategy with a strong focus on quality, cost and delivery, improving efficiency and driving engineering best practice. You will also be involved in the procurement and installation of plant equipment, buildings and infrastructure associated with the operation whilst ensuring all work on site adheres to safe operating standards and systems.

In order to be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate:
  • Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to effectively delegate and supervise staff
  • Previous experience developing & administering maintenance budgets that meet business plans.
  • Project management experience involving long range plan expansion, product development and equipment planning.
  • Maintain high standards of work and behaviour
  • Commitment to ensuring a safe work environment and active promotion of safe working practices

    As the successful candidate, it is important that you have:
  • An appropriate Engineering qualification, preferable supported with a formal business diploma/degree.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, WHS & EPA Regulations, HACCP procedures and understanding of how maintenance work could impact on the environment.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 4 years of people management experience in a progressive food or beverage manufacturing environment.
  • Strong management skills and a track record of implementing change and driving business success.
