Maintenance Planner
 
Maintenance Planner needed to oversee all maintenance works on site, ensuring minimal downtime to production.
 
  • $29.53p/h + weekly attendance bonus
  • Day shift + Saturday overtime 
  • Permanent role!
 
Our client Baiada is an iconic Australian business that is renowned for its premium chicken & poultry products.  The role of Maintenance Planner will work in their on-site cooked facility located in Mount Kuring-Gai.
 
About the role
You will work with the Site and Production Managers and will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance works on site, ensuring minimal downtime to production. This role will provide the successful candidate with hands-on experience allowing you to work on the front line, influencing and engaging with managers to help them make the right decisions for the business.
 
Responsibilities
  • Regularly communicating with team, Site and Production Managers
  • Run daily production meetings
  • Inventory control, including monitoring and actioning stock
  • Scheduling maintenance works in line with machinery/ingredients/packaging availability
  • Overseeing machine break downs and repairs
 
About you
We are looking for someone who is adaptable to changing situations, has a high attention to detail, and has a positive, proactive attitude.
It would be highly advantageous for the successful candidate to have had prior experience in a similar role, experience using MEX software, and the ability to hit the ground running in this extremely busy role.
 
You will have:
  • Basic experience in ordering and budgets
  • Prior experience in the food industry or a mechanical background (advantageous)
  • High level of computing skills and willingness to learn new systems
  • Comfortable making challenging scheduling or purchasing decisions on the fly
  • Comfortable liaising with the Maintenance Manager and team to achieve outcomes- breakdowns, preventative maintenance etc.
