One of our clients, a leading provider of LPG and natural gas in Western Australia, is seeking the services of an experienced Maintenance Planner to join the Chandler Macleod Team based at their Kwinana offices for a period of 3-6 months on a Monday - Friday (38 hour week) Roster. The Maintenance Planner will be planning for fleet (gas tanker trailers), fixed (LPG & LNG gas installations) or facilities (LPG cylinder distribution depots) for their WA operations.

The main duties of this role include:

  • The role of the Maintenance Planner is to improve and optimise maintenance efficiency, productivity and quality through scoping, planning, scheduling and co-ordination of maintenance resources, parts, materials, and access to plant and equipment.
  • To ensure that planned programmed maintenance activities are scheduled and organised to comply with maintenance regimes prescribed and authorised by the instrument\electrical, mechanical or gas specialist as appropriate.
  • To ensure that planned and corrective maintenance activities are scheduled and organised to comply with standing service level agreements as approved by the instrument\electrical, mechanical or gas specialist as appropriate.
  • To take ownership and responsibility for continuous improvement and development of plant maintenance systems, practices and procedures.
  • To ensure effective communication and cooperation between all teams with the common goal of optimising operations safety, logistic and maintenance outcomes.
  • To function effectively as an integral member of the maintenance planning team including assisting wherever possible to support cross-discipline maintenance planning efforts and demands.

Successful candidates will have the following work experience:

  • Trade or Asset Maintenance Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2yrs Planning / Scheduling experience
  • Experience in a heavy industry background preferably within the Oil & Gas, Mobile Equipment or similar environment (valuable)
  • Recent Oracle EAM experience is ESSENTIAL


Ideal candidates will possess the following:

  • Strong technical aptitude.

  • Knowledge on asset and work management systems and processes.
  • Experienced in CMMS programs and the Microsoft office suite
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Clear understanding of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodology
  • Leadership skills
  • System/process orientated
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Strong peer and customer engagement skills.
  • Lateral thinker

The successful candidate will be required to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug Screen and provide a current WA Drivers Licence and Australian working rights.
