About the role
We are partnering with a WA renowned gold mining company to secure the services of an experienced Maintenance Planner to join their Planning Team based on-site for a minimum 3 month labour hire contract with strong probability for permanency.

The Weekly Planner / Scheduler is responsible for the improvement of maintenance execution safety, productivity & work quality. This is done by anticipating & eliminating potential delays through the planning and coordination of labour, parts, equipment access and work pack development.

The Weekly Planner / Scheduler shall provide leadership in the execution & adherence to the Maintenance Business Process (MBP).

The aim of this role is to ensure equipment's availability and to increase efficiency therefore aiding in the total reduction of maintenance cost and increased output of product.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

  • The role of the Maintenance Planner is to improve and optimise maintenance efficiency, productivity and quality through scoping, planning, scheduling and co-ordination of maintenance resources, parts, materials, and access to plant and equipment.
  • To ensure that planned programmed maintenance activities are scheduled and organised to comply with maintenance regimes prescribed and authorised by the instrument\electrical, mechanical or gas specialist as appropriate.
  • To ensure that planned and corrective maintenance activities are scheduled and organised to comply with standing service level agreements as approved by the instrument\electrical, mechanical or gas specialist as appropriate.
  • To take ownership and responsibility for continuous improvement and development of plant maintenance systems, practices and procedures.
  • To ensure effective communication and cooperation between all teams with the common goal of optimising operations safety, logistic and maintenance outcomes.
  • To function effectively as an integral member of the maintenance planning team including assisting wherever possible to support cross-discipline maintenance planning efforts and demands.

To be successful in this role, you will require the following work experience:

  • Preference is mechanical background, but open to trades or engineering background
  • 10+ years' experience in a pivotal maintenance planning role
  • Must have experience in WA mining
  • Must have Utilities & Underground Fixed Plant planning experience
  • Must have working knowledge of SAP | MS Project
