Chandler Macleod are very proud to be supporting Fortescue Metals Group with the sourcing of an Exploration Maintenance Planner to support the Mechanical Maintenance team in the planning, prioritizing and execution of all mechanical repairs and service, whether preventative or unplanned on various equipment to ensure the operational needs are met by Exploration.

This represents an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Planner or a trade-based individual keen to get off the tools and apply your knowledge in a Planning capacity. Key accountabilities of the role will encompass:

1. Fleet Management
2. Mechanical Maintenance
3. Business Improvement
4. Maintain effective communication with various stakeholders
5. Safety reporting

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Trade qualification in Automotive Mechanical (LV)
  • Occupational First Aid Certificate or equivalent
  • Operate and maintain a 4WD Vehicle RIIVEH305A
  • Experience in the planning and maintenance of various equipment in a fleet aspect
  • Experience in the mining/exploration industry preferred
  • Need good time management skills, be able to multitask and be proficient with the Microsoft office suite (especially XLS)
  • Needs to be good communicator, be able to adapt to changing environment and be able to make decisions
  • Valid C-class driver's licence
  • Ability to pass a Pre-employment Medical including a Drug and Alcohol Screen
  • Current National Police Check
