Maintenance Fitters

Chandler Macleod are currently recruiting a Maintenance Fitters for Baiada. They are looking for Maintenance Fitter to fill roles currently within their production plant, feedmill and livestock farm. These positions are primarily responsible for carrying out repairs and maintenance to plant machinery and equipment in line with company & WHS standards, while ensuring minimal interruptions to plant operations and systems.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualified Maintenance Fitter with Certification in Welding (particularly with feedmill & farm)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Show initiative and make decisions under pressure
  • Maintain high standards of work and behaviour
  • Commitment to ensuring a safe work environment and active promotion of safe working practices on the job
  • Ability to analyse and prioritise maintenance response times
  • Previous knowledge of maintaining machinery in the food industry would be an advantage but not essential
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to be decisive
  • A basic understanding of quality systems, HACCP procedures and understanding of how day to day activities could impact on the environment
  • Shift work position, rotating morning, afternoon and night shifts
  • Must be available on the weekends
