About the role:

Chandler Macleod in partnership with Infrabuild, are currently seeking experienced Machine Operators/ Wireworkers for their site located at Mayfield, gaining exposure and experience in steel processing, pre-fabrication, distribution and fixed/mobile plant operating.

These Machine Operator / Wireworker positions are shift working roles, successful candidates with be required to work either 5 day 8 hour 3 shift rotating roster or a 7 day 12 hour rotating roster.

Key duties:

  • Responsible for operating wire drawing, fencing and galvanising machines along with fence post presses
  • Operating bending and cutting machinery for bar, steel and mesh products
  • Operating forklifts and gantry cranes
  • Following safety procedures

What we need from you:

  • A Current Forklift licence - or willing to obtain one, shortly after being onboarded
  • Experience working as a Machine Operator or in a similar role/ environment highly regarded
  • A strong attitude towards safety in the workplace
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol testing
  • Ability to meet the requirements of a national police check
  • Process driven, with great attention to detail
  • Motivation working in high performing teams
