Our client is a long established nationwide Australian brick manufacturer, with over 100 years of experience with a dedicated team of people committed to excellence in brick production, research and development.

We are currently seeking highly experienced and self-motivated Machine Operators to join this exciting and successful team. The key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

* Sets up, operates and cleans mechanical equipment in accordance with the Standard Operating
Procedure (SOP) at all times.
* Operate machine safely to specified manufacturing levels to achieve maximum production
numbers/levels/units.
* Sets controls, fixes attachments and materials to prepare for operation.
* Observes operation and adjusts controls as required.
* Performs routine cleaning, housekeeping and maintenance of machine.
* Performs basic problem solving and diagnosis of machine issues and escalates non-routine issues
to maintenance team for resolution.
* Liaise with maintenance team on breakdowns and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
* Checks output for quality and conformity to product specification and ensure all Quality Control
requirements are met.
* Keep production, down-time and quality records in accordance with company procedures and
requirements.
* Perform daily required visual checks of machinery.
* Complete any training deemed necessary by management to maintain or increase skill level and
proficiency.
* If licenced, operate a forklift as required.
* Ensure understanding and compliance with all Environmental policy and procedures relevant to your
work.
* Assist and contribute to Operational Excellence initiatives.

* Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
* Ability to operate manufacturing machinery in accordance with Standard
Operating Procedures (SOP's) at all times.
* Ability to perform problem solving and fault-finding activities to identify and
resolve machine issues/breakdowns.
* Ability to perform housekeeping and routine cleaning of machines and
surrounding area.
