Chandler Macleod are recruiting a Learning Specialist for NSW Government Agency.

This is a 6 month Contract based in Sydney CBD.

Primary purpose of the role:

Responsibilities of the role are to support the Professional Standards & Capability Project.
  • Design, develop, deliver and maintain content in service model and technical learning and any other specificed areas as required for learning initiatives across NI and TMF and the Workers Insurance Scheme agents, based on relevant learning frameworks, learning approaches (e.g. embedment methods such as communities of practice), identified business requirements and technical priorities.
  • Maintain and update existing learning materials and/or system or governance processes.
  • Ensure training environments, materials, resources and processes (system) are prepared, tested, brand aligned where necessary, and relevant to specific training programs.

    Key accountabilities:
  • Work with team and learning stakeholders in the needs assessment and design, development, review and sign off of deliverables, ensuring accuracy and an appropriate (best practice) and consistent approach to meeting target audience needs is applied.
  • Design and develop new or existing content to meet the needs of the stakeholders, program deliverables, BAU and Projects and aligned to strategy.
  • Deliver, including facilitation where needed, training (including virtual) and provide 'on the floor' support and advice to NI or TMF teams.
  • Work closely with claims service providers, internal stakeholders, external designers and facilitators as necessary to customise deliverables/offerings to meet the needs of the audience.
  • Where necessary coordinate vendor delivery of solutions.
  • Utilise and adhere to icare tools and processes including learning metrics reporting and management of learning through the LMS.
  • Champion agency values when making decisions, interacting with all stakeholders and when considering any aspect of deliverables

    Essential Requirements:
  • Pre-employment checks
  • Experience in designing, developing and delivering technical training.
  • Experience with designing and developing e-learning content (Articulate Storyline and/or RISE preferred).

    Typical Experience
  • Cert IV TAE training and assessment preferred
  • Experience working with an LMS (SuccessFactors, CENTRAL preferred) at administrator level preferred.
  • Experience in workers compensation learning.
  • Facilitation experience.
  • Experience in design, development and delivery of soft skills and systems training (Guidewire preferred.)
