Chandler Macleod have an upcoming 6-month temporary assignment with our Federal Government client for a APS5 Learning Event Program Officer and APS4 Learning Event Administration Officer. This assignment is conveniently located in the CBD and on a Monday to Friday roster, full time hours with possible overtime.

APS5 Learning Event Program Officer

About the position

Learning Events are an important part of the program's offering and complement our advisory and facilitation services. They align well with the EP2020 vision to provide a tailored and unique experience for customers based on their needs and level of engagement. Their primary purpose is to give our customers the opportunity to participate in group style learning sessions with other businesses which are delivered by experts they wouldn't get access to had they not joined the Entrepreneur's Programme. The position requires a great deal of procurement and coordination to obtain quotes, procure services and manage a large schedule of events and contracts.

Required skills and experience:

  • Contract Management and procurement experience
  • Data Entry and analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • A high level of personal drive, proven ability to achieve results, and sound judgement and common-sense


Desirable skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in working on small projects
  • Demonstrated competency in oral and written communication, such as the ability to produce written material suitable for conference posters and presentations, newsletters and executive updates
  • Highly competent with Excel. Additional IT skills (such as writing simple Excel macros or developing data processing solutions) are highly desirable
  • Attention to detail
  • Administrative skills in the support of the promotion and marketing of events


APS4 Learning Event Administration Officer

About the position

Their primary purpose is to give our customers the opportunity to participate in group style learning sessions with other businesses which are delivered by experts they wouldn't get access to had they not joined the Entrepreneur's Programme. The position requires experience in data entry, and analysis who is highly motivated, can work autonomously and has focus on delivering high quality customer service.

Required skills and experience:

  • Data Entry and analysis output
  • Administrative support of the promotion and marketing of events
  • A high level of personal drive, proven ability to achieve results, and sound judgement and common-sense
  • Demonstrated competency in oral and written communication, such as the ability to produce written material suitable for conference posters and presentations, newsletters and executive updates
  • Highly competent with Microsoft Excel. Additional IT skills (such as writing simple Excel macros or developing data processing solutions) are highly desirable

All contracts are until 30 June 2021 with a 12-month extension option. Please note applicants are required to have a baseline (or above) security clearance, or the ability to obtain one upon commencement of the role.
