The role

We are currently inviting invitations for some key positions of Law Interpretation Specialist within an elite team for our client, a state government body. We are seeking Law professionals to work within the Policy, Analysis and Legislation areas to apply your expertise and provide expert advice on the highest risk and most important issues to external stakeholders, partners and Treasury.

In this role you will lead and coordinate technically complex or sensitive law interpretation work programs or projects.

You will be adept at analysing broader impacts of policy and change and develop recommendations to achieve a consistent approach.
You will be responsible for making timely decisions, setting strategic direction and leading small teams of junior specialists.

About you:

  • You will be highly competent in the areas law and policies including superannuation. A proven ability to lead and provide technical expertise to ensure policy and draft law is developed
  • Key is a strong background in managing and resolving complex issues with practical solutions and sound judgement
  • You will be able to provide strategic direction and posses a broad understanding in the impact of legislative and policy changes regarding government agencies and the community.
  • Essential is a recognised qualification in tax, business or law related discipline with seven or more years of relevant experience.


You will need to be an Australian Citizen to work for this government body and agree to pre engagement integrity checks including a baseline security clearance.
