We are seeking to engage a Labour Hire Account Manager on a fixed term contract for 3 months with potential extension.


Labour Hire Account Managers (LHAMs) support Services Australia leadership by providing communication, change management support and guidance to their teams. They are responsible for managing the health and wellbeing of their staff, attendance and performance management.

They are responsible for identifying and managing suitability for the role and ensuring delivery of quality customer service to the Australian community.


Duties may include some or all of the following:

  • manage, support and develop Labour Hire Personnel
  • manage and support a team including managing performance, attendance, and health and wellbeing
  • maintain thorough and accurate records on performance and conduct for each Labour Hire Personnel
  • manage escalated enquiries and cases including performance management, attendance issues, conduct matters
  • provide advice and interpretation of agreed HR policies and procedures to Labour Hire Personnel and managers
  • ensure consistency in communication to all Labour Hire Personnel
  • analyse and report on key metrics to ensure the Contractor maintains accurate Labour Hire Personnel records
  • analyse and report on workforce data for attrition, attendance
  • develop Labour Hire Personnel capability through leading coaching sessions and identification of learning and development needs
  • exercise judgement and decision making when dealing with sensitive information or situations
  • exercise judgement and proactive decision making when managing Labour Hire Personnel who are not meeting performance expectations, including removing Labour Hire Personnel from the Agency's contract where appropriate
  • identify to the Contract Manager local management decisions that do not align with requirements under the Work Order or related policies
  • addressing any time sheeting issues with Labour Hire Personnel, and
  • provision of other related services, as agreed.

Knowledge and understanding of:

  • the relevant Award or Agreement for Labour Hire Personnel, conditions of employment, and people related policies and guidelines
  • human resource management information systems
  • programmes and services administered by the Agency
  • the role and responsibilities of the Agency
  • legislation, policies, procedures, frameworks and information management requirements relevant to the work area
  • the Agency's privacy, ethics, workplace health and safety and security protocols
  • relevant business systems and tools.
