The position covers a broad range of duties including knowledge management, systems management, data base management, documenting workflows and processes and training staff in best practice in IT knowledge management when using systems.

The role would suit an individual that has strong IT knowledge management background and who enjoys helping organisations to continuously improve and drive increased efficiency and effectiveness.

You will have excellent communication and influencing skills and enjoy working with people at all organisational levels.

Some of the duties include:
Quality systems and processes
  • Manage the implementation of knowledge management based on best practice.
  • Establish techniques and processes for organising, locating and enabling access to relevant knowledge to support knowledge sharing and faster resolution of information requests.
  • Ensure consistency across users and identify opportunities for knowledge improvement.
  • Develop quality and fit for purpose documentation to support and implement a knowledge management strategy.
  • Document systems and workflow processes. Identify improved practices.
  • Establish and maintain version control, file naming conventions and other quality knowledge management practices.
  • Train, coach and mentor others to adopt best practice in knowledge management.
  • Review and improve existing databases to ensure they are a single source of truth to support management client projects and other business objectives.
  • Provide reports and advice to management on how systems can be improved.

    About you:
    Ideally you will possess the following:
  • Experience in leading successful knowledge management implementation
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and the ability to translate business objectives into business processes and/or technology solutions.
  • Experience running workshops, facilitating discussions and assisting business stakeholders to meet current and future needs and opportunities.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and translate high level information into details.
  • Extensive experience developing process documentation including workflow diagrams, work instructions and procedures using Visio or Lucid Charts.
  • Strong knowledge of subject areas as IT, knowledge management, process management, change management,
  • Excellent communication skills, user focus and the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Highly organised and ability to tackle multiple competing priorities
  • IT competent and strong with MS Office/Excel and Database skills.
  • Attention to detail.

    Your qualifications and experience:
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in the construction industry highly desirable.
