Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS6 Justice Liaison Officer on a contract for 12 months with potential extension.

About the Role:

The APS6 Liaison Officer (Health/Justice) will have a considerable level of public contact in relation to complex, difficult or sensitive issues. It may liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders in a representational role on behalf of the branch/division.

The role will assist staff working within health and justice settings to support prospective and existing participants transitioning back into the community.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with Agency business areas to ensure participants have appropriate supports in place within health or justice settings, and when transitioning into communities.
  • Assisting to address challenges or delays in access or planning decisions, ensuring timely and safe transitions back into the community
  • Providing guidance and advice regarding agency processes and procedures.
  • Supporting potential participants in hospital or justice settings to access the agency.
  • Developing initiatives to build networks across the health or justice sector, raising awareness and representing the agency at networking and cross-agency forums.
  • Providing clear and regular communications to promote understanding of the agency to external stakeholders in health or justice settings.
