Our client AGL energy are on the lookout for an IT Delivery Lead to join them on a contract basis in Melbourne CBD. This is an initial six months contract with a potential to extend. Key purpose of this role
The purpose of this role is to work across multiple initiatives within the Cloud Transformation Program to support the successful delivery of the programme.
The Delivery Lead will direct multiple project managers.
This role will be responsible for planning and governance and for overseeing the successful delivery of the program's output/product in collaboration with other streams of work and programme stakeholder community.


Key accountabilities of this role

  • Daily program management throughout the programme life cycle;
  • Defining, refining and application of the programme governance (controls);
  • Planning the overall program and monitoring the progress;
  • Managing the program's stream budget;
  • Recording and managing risks and issues and taking corrective measurements;
  • Coordinating the projects and their interdependencies;
  • Managing and utilizing resources across projects;
  • Managing stakeholders' communication;
  • Aligning the deliverables (outputs) to the program's "outcome" with in collaboration with the business change manager; and
  • Managing the main program documentations such as the program initiation document.

Qualifications, key skills and experience required

  • Proven experience as Stream Lead/ Delivery Lead working on large transformation initiatives including Cloud Transformation
  • Tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in communications, program management, IT or similar discipline.
  • Sound knowledge of and demonstrated ability to apply project and program management methodology and techniques;
  • Good understanding of the wider objectives of the program;
  • Ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in program management;
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills;
  • Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
  • Demonstrated organisation and self-management skills including the ability to quickly adjust work cycles to accommodate emerging priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills combined with high level presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a major programme environment.
  • Willingness, energy and drive to do whatever it takes and to "think outside the box."
  • Demonstrated success at participating in high performing programme and project and teams and working as part of a matrix organisation
