About the role:
You will be able to exercise both initiative and judgment and undertake complex reviews to reach considered outcomes.
You will also have a considerable level of public contact in relation to complex or sensitive issues. It may liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders in a representational role on behalf of the branch/division.

The duties of the role:

  • Working closely with prospective participants and participants to understand the nature and context of their request for a decision to be reviewed
  • Making evidence-based review decisions in line with NDIS frameworks, as prescribed in the NDIS Act, NDIS rules, Operational Guidelines and NDIA policies.
  • Communicating effectively with participants and their representatives to explain reasons for decisions, the review and appeals process and available options.
  • Monitoring and managing caseloads in a timely manner.

  • Ability to manage a demanding and changing workloads and competing priorities
  • Be able to deal with confronting and complex situations and information
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite
  • A focus on problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritise workloads
  • Have outstanding communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain networks
