Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS6 Intelligence Analyst / Control Testing officer on a contract for 12 month.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Designing, delivering and reviewing control tests on prioritised regulatory controls.
  • Supports key stakeholders in co-designing control treatments post activity.
  • Co-design control tests informed by an operational planning construct, prepare operational and communications plans, monitor deployment, plus prepare situation reports and review activities.
  • Learn and apply a detailed knowledge of various regulatory environments, including the border pathways plus physical and electronic processes and systems.
  • Candidates must possess strong thinking and collaboration skills to deliver outcomes. A demonstrated resilience, flexibility and adaptability to operate in a high tempo environment with shifting priorities will be well regarded.
  • High ethical and integrity standards are mandatory as the successful candidate will have access to sensitive information.

  • Essential skills
    • Well-developed collaborative skills
    • Strong thinking skills (curiosity, systems, critical, non-linear)
    • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
    • Flexibility and ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment
    • Tertiary qualifications that include mathematics and/or statistics.
  • Desirable skills
    • Prior control testing or control mapping experience
    • Operations planning (JMAP, ICCS Plus)
    • Familiarity with border operations
    • Prior experience in a fraud audit, regulatory compliance or law enforcement role

Mandatory Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will be required to have a Baseline security clearance.
