About the role

The Income Support Reviews team ensures Service Pensions (Age Service Pension, Partner Service Pension, Invalidity Service Pension) are paid accurately by processing updates to client's circumstances that impact pension rates. This information is gathered from clients contacting the Department, or requesting information from clients.

This role also manages the incoming Mail Coordination for the National Income Support Team, which is important in ensuring information is distributed to the right teams and registered appropriately. Printing Pensioner Concession Cards and Seniors Healthcare

Cards ensures clients receive their relevant concession cards to enable discounted access to many services.

What you will bring to the role

  • Previous experience within a similar role; Government experience is preferable but not essential.
  • Good numeracy and financial skills
  • Experience in Customer Service and general Administration in an office environment is essential
  • Excellent time management, planning and efficiency
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Previous experience Centrelink, or financial is an advantage

What we offer:

  • Adelaide location
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 am till 5:00 pm, full time working hours
  • Casual contract from early January until 30th June 2022
  • Attractive hourly rate
