Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Incident Response and Security Coordinator on an ongoing contract.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate and assist to continuously improve the incident response and protective security management frameworks, including activities relating to framework planning, support and performance evaluation.
  • Assist in the undertaking and/or management of workplace investigations and analysis, including the following incident types: safety, environmental, quality/process, fraud and unethical conduct and security.
  • This includes development of terms of reference, briefing investigation team members, undertaking interviews, conducting root cause analysis as appropriate, identifying business improvements to address underlying causes, documenting findings and preparing reports.
  • Assist in the management of the protective security function.
  • Undertake analysis across current and historical incidents to identify trends and develop reporting and knowledge sessions for key stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work collaboratively to achieve best for business outcomes.
  • Analyse and extract data to identify incident root causes, develop meaningful reports and provide advice to business on developing sustainable solutions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Branch business plan
  • Assist with the development and delivery of training and awareness on incident response activities (review, analysis, investigation).
  • Other duties in the Branch within the employee's skill, competence and training.

Qualifications, knowledge and experience

  • Qualifications in investigation or equivalent significant experience in conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis or other investigation methodologies is desirable.
  • Knowledge of, or ability to quickly obtain best practice investigations methodology.
  • While experience in the water sector is beneficial, it is not essential, however a desire to learn about the sector is necessary.
  • Experience in extracting and analysing data from various systems.
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
