We are currently looking for an experienced Identified Case worker in Dubbo to assist with supporting the families in receipt of a Preservation Package and contributing to keeping children, young people and and familes safe.


Role Title: Family Coach - Clerical and Office Support Workers.
Location: Dubbo
Hours per week: Adhoc basis (I believe is around 35hrs per week)
Rate: $35.15p/h + super
OT rates apply
Duration: Potential of extension up until June 2024
 
Primary purpose of the role:
Working for a large agency, directly supporting and contributing to keeping children, young people and families safe by fostering core life skills and undertaking tasks which support case planning and documentation, referrals and appointments, case visits and day to day team priorities.
 
Job Requirements below:
  • Need to have current WWCC, be able to successfully clear a NSW Police Check and have 2 reference checks
  • To be an identified Candidate
  • Hold a current valid Drivers Licence
  • Access to a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle.
 
Key accountabilities:
  • Support residents to develop and maintain independence and safety in personal care, health care and hygiene by providing transportation and domestic assistance such as cleaning, laundry and meal preparation to support the efficient functioning of the household.
  • Work closely with Preservation Caseworkers to provide behaviour and communication support to residents to encourage development of personal, community and social relationships.
  • Engage with residents, their families, carers, advocates and other specialised support staff to support case planning and programs aimed at achieving an individual’s goals and aspirations.
  • Contribute to collaborative casework by maintaining timely client and casework records, including client information system records, the coordination and delivery of court papers, appropriate information sharing and preparing summary reports which accurately record observations relating to “low risk” family contact visits.
  • Assist with logistical arrangements for meetings including case management and family meetings, supervised visits, appointments and other activities which directly support case planning and decision-making for children and young persons
  • Perform the role of key worker as required and lead the client lifestyle planning process to provide meaningful experiences which enable our clients to thrive
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and policies to keep yourself and our clients safe
Key challenges
  • Supporting the work of caseworkers and understanding the complex and challenging situations where the majority of families are at significant disadvantage due to factors such as a prior history of trauma, poverty and violence
  • Balancing the completion of tasks with the need to personally build supporting relationships with children, young people and families.
