We are currently recruiting for a Housing Manager for our client, a Tier 1 Community Housing organisation located close to Sydney CBD. This is a permanent position on (Level 4 on the SCHADS Award with salary negotiable depending on experience.

As the Housing Manager, your duties may include (but are not limited to:

  • Conducting sign ups of tenancies, explaining the conditions of the tenancy in accordance with policies and the Residential Tenancies Act
  • Manage resident expectations through the timely and effective management of conflicts, complaints, appeals and tenancy breaches, including rent arrears and anti-social behaviour
  • Representing at the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT) where required
  • Addressing issues relating to breaches of tenancy agreements to achieve resolution
  • Maintaining working relationships with other community support/service providers and refer tenants to other services where appropriate
  • Managing all tenancy matters for a property portfolio

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum Certificate III or IV in Community Services or relevant housing services experience
  • Minimum of 2 years tenancy experience in either State Housing or Community Housing
  • Knowledge of policy and legislation applying to social housing
  • Previous NCAT experience would be highly desirable
  • A NSW driving license
