Chandler Macleod are recruiting for suitably skilled and experienced Trades Persons for multiple positions in Whyalla, SA.

These positions are on a Drive In Drive Out Basis from anywhere in SA, see details of available roles and rosters below

4 x Electrical Operators/Maintainers – 7/7 Roster
1 x Mechanical Operator/Maintainer– 7/7 Roster
1 x Electrical Operator/Maintainer– 5/4/4/5 Roster
3 x Heavy Vehicle Mechanics/HD Mechanics - 5/4/4/5 Roster

We’re looking for reliable people with a solid commitment to working safely whilst driven to achieve and enjoy contributing to our team’s continued success. Day to day duties will include but will not be limited to working with the workshops team to provide overhaul, repairs, and general maintenance on a variety of mobile plant at site, including loaders, bobcats, prime movers and haulage trailers.

Requirement for this role include:
  • Cert III in Mechanical Engineering or relevant Electrical /Trade Certification
  • Previous work history maintaining and performing repairs to diesel and other heavy mobile plant
  • Previous experience with hydraulic systems would be greatly regarded
  
Key responsibilities for this role include:
  • Perform repairs, emergency, and preventative maintenance (component change out) on a variety of screening plant, prime movers, and specialist haulage and yellow gear (up to WA900) 
  • Operation of various mobile plant as required to perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to our goal of Zero Harm (for our people and our equipment)
  • Commitment to all site safety standards and requirements
  • Completion of pre-starts, care & maintenance of mobile plant where required    
  • Applicants will also be required to undertake a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
