We are seeking Health and Safety Project Officer Professionals looking to develop a rewarding career, acquire new skills and grow with experience.


The Health & Safety Project Officer will co-ordinate the implementation of the Task Hazard Analysis Project by:

  • Introducing and promoting the Project to designated teams.
  • Consistently meeting and liaising with teams to ensure accurate and highly organized data collection
  • Support teams with identifying hazards and conducting risk assessment of tasks.
  • Facilitation of team workshops designed to educate teams on basic OHS concepts, identify existing controls and brainstorm improved control measures; and
  • Assist teams with preparation an action plan for implementation of additional control measures, prioritizing actions according to level of risk.
  • The Project Officer will use their OHS knowledge and / or experience to ensure the Project is kept in line with relevant OHS legislation and Project objectives.

  • Organize and facilitate meetings and workshops for each phase of the Project across 5 - 6 teams
  • Utilize highly developed technical skills in the Microsoft Package (including Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams)
  • Exercise a high degree of resourcefulness, problem solving and change management. Using these skills to assist teams with identifying opportunities to change workplace OH&S processes

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize competing demands
  • Advanced ability in the Microsoft suite focused on Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Ability to mentor, coach and translate the project curriculum to stakeholders in HSW responsibilities, accountabilities and risk management solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to tailor messaging to a wide variety of audiences
  • Capability to influence change and negotiate effective outcomes
  • High level problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and direction
  • High degree of resourcefulness and problem solving
