Chandler Macleod is offering a position to work for a well established company in a challenging and lucrative contractor role. We are looking for a confident and competent health and safety specialist for a 6-month contract. You will be tasked with providing coaching on the ground and providing education on health and safety matters in an operational role on a construction site.

You will be reporting to the H&S Business Partner and you will be:

  • Delivering the functional H&S plan and supporting operational leaders improving safety maturity
  • Working in a team to support proactive management of key health and safety risks onsite
  • Provide leadership in the field, Critical Risk Management, Workplace Conditions, Hazard & ID control, Pre-start meetings, Incident Investigation and action quality
  • Analysis and problem solving in matters of complex health and safety issues in conjunction with workers and other H&S Professionals
  • Providing onsite support for incident investigations and risk assessments
  • Advising on health and safety matters to operational leaders in line with H&S matters
  • Developing and providing relevant H&S information (e.g. safety statistics, incident information, risk analysis, educational material) to supervisors
  • Identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities in the health and safety function
