About the role
We are partnering with a renowned organisation, to secure the services of an experienced professional to perform the role of Health & Safety Advisor. This assignment will cover a period of 12 months, on a 2:1 roster.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Influencing positive safety interactions and driving practical outcomes whilst ensuring industry best practice is applied
  • Collaborate with Contractors Management Team to ensure alignment with Health and Safety Management System, current legislation and best practice
  • Assist the Management Team with conducting incident investigations at the site level, completion of incident / investigation and corrective actions as required ensuring that corrective actions identified are monitored for effectiveness
  • Assist the Management team and Contractor Management team in their accountability to implement, monitor and review of the site Safety Management system, whilst driving OHS initiatives

    To be successful in this role, you will require the following work experience:
  • Minimum 8 years working in Construction, Processing, Mining operations, Manufacturing Logistics or similar
  • Ability to lead and influence Safety Behaviours throughout all levels of the Project
  • Management of Contractors
  • Maintaining systems in accordance with AS4801, ISO 45001 and ISO 9001
  • Experienced in OHS and Mine Safety Legislation, Australian Standards and Codes of Practice

    Ideal candidates must also hold the following prerequisites:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety (or
  • equivalent)
  • Lead Investigator (ICAM)
  • Construction Induction Training (White Card or equivalent)
  • Provide a current National Police Clearance or be willing to obtain one
  • Provide a current Drivers Licence
